Two Cardiac Nurse Practitioners

Grant awarded £200,000

Two year legacy funding to set up an innovative Cardiology Service providing an holistic package of care and dedicated support for patients.


Small Acts of Friendship a partnership with the elderly care and respiratory Consultants that offers patients in seven wards help with mobility and dignity

Grant awarded £100,000

So far it has benefited over 4000 patients and been recognised by the CQC as contributing to an outstanding rating in patient care.


Patient well-being at Mill View Hospital and Rutland Gardens

Grant awarded £8,120

During lockdown in 2020, in-patients at were confined mainly to their rooms. A range of devices including iPads, DVD & MP3 Players plus hands on craft equipment and more provided entertainment when regular social activities were suspended.


Bodystat Quadscan

Grant awarded £4,200

Non-invasive assessment of body composition and nutritional status in severe or chronic illness.


NHS Staff Welfare Packs

Grant awarded £3,500

To recognise the amazing staff and their work at Royal Sussex County Hospital during lockdown in association with Brighton College.


Refurbishment at Newhaven Community Ward

Grant awarded £4,875

Redecoration, new furniture and at the Elderly Care Rehabilitation Ward for patients discharged from Royal Sussex County Hospital.


Ultrasound Vascular Access ‘Phantom’

Grant awarded £526

To support training in canula insertion using ultrasound, for junior doctors and nurses in acute medicine.
