Donation to Small Acts of Friendship

Our Small Acts of Friendship fundraising campaign has just received a £5,000 boost from the Trustees of the Brighton District Nursing Association Trust. This donation will be used to fund the hairdressers and hand massage therapists who regularly visit patients on the elderly care wards at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. Having your hair washed or your hands massaged makes an enormous difference to your state of mind when in hospital and this boost to well-being has a positive knock on effect on physical health as well.
If you'd like to make a donation to Small Acts of Friendship it's easy to do so via the JustGiving link here.

To express my thanks and gratitude to Friends of Brighton & Hove Hospitals for funding 3 expiratory and inspiratory respiratory muscle trainers. This is an innovative approach in voice and swallow therapy which helps patients in rehab working to improve their swallow function, cough and secretion management and also patients with long standing swallowing difficulties.
