A legacy donation for Small Acts of Friendship

Bulletin Author and Former Friends Trustee Harry Gaston left a generous legacy of £10,000 to Friends of Brighton & Hove Hospitals.

After consultation with his executor this will be allocated to benefit patients under the Small Acts of Friendship initiative.

Harry had a long and successful career as a Hospital Administrator, teacher, author and acted as Editor of The Bulletin, the long running staff magazine at Royal Sussex County Hospital.

He served as a Trustee at Friends of Brighton & Hove Hospitals from 2008 – 2015; we appreciated his strong commitment to fair healthcare for all and his wide-ranging experience of the NHS in the city.

Harry is widely remembered as the author of several hospital histories – details here.

Our next event in support of Small Acts of Friendship is a pub quiz at the Better Half in Hove on Monday 12th March. Details here.
