Yesterday, two of our charity Trustees collected 20 care packages from Waitrose in Hove. The befriending charity, Together Co, identified ten people in the Hove area who were already isolated before Covid-19. Some were disabled, living alone and depending on carers, feeling very lonely and anxious. The rest were delivered to Bishop Hannington Church for distribution to elderly ...

Thanks to a kind donation from Waitrose, we were able to deliver chocolates to the Staff and patients on the Elderly Care Wards.

The Friends office remains open to support our local NHS during this time of national crisis.

We have just received a lovely email from a Superintendent Radiographer at the Royal Sussex County Hospital thank the Friends for funding a new phlebotomy chair which is used by 50+ patients each day.

Local schoolchildren visited patients on the elderly care wards at Royal Sussex County Hospital on Friday 20 December. Thank you for the exciting and beneficial equipment you have funded. The Motomed Viva 2 brings additional therapy to the acute stroke patients at the hospital, encouraging early return of activity in the affected limb whilst avoiding side effects related to lack of immobility such as muscle wastage and reduced cardio-vascular endurance.
