Leaving a legacy

After you have met the needs of your family, you might consider leaving a legacy to the Friends. Legacies are vital to us. Over 70% of our income is from local supporters making a gift in their Will.

The Robotic device shown above was funded by a legacy from Maud Gill, a District Nurse for over 30 years in Brighton & Hove.  Maud's generosity allowed us to provide pioneering equipment for use in patients’ own homes. Following a stroke, patients can exercise effectively to rebuild strength in a weak limb - physiotherapy at their convenience.

Will Writing: many local Solicitors provide their services free or at a reduced fee if your Will includes a charitable bequest.  Contact the Friends Office for up to date details of participating practices.

Why the Friends?  We are a local charity, so your money goes directly to help local hospitals. As we are mainly run by volunteers, our administrative costs are low and virtually all the money we raise is used to benefit local people.  All bequests are free of inheritance tax
You, or a member of your family, are very likely to require hospital treatment sometime in the future. Our aim is to help make that experience as pleasant, comfortable and efficient as possible. We listen to doctors, nurses and other professionals, so equipment bought with your donations has maximum patient benefit.
