Specifications are listed below for artists in the city interested in submitting a design for Christmas 2020.
The design needs to have a clearly local theme and can be printed as a 12.5cm square, or 10cm x 15cm landscape or portrait.
We need submissions to be emailed to us at firstname.lastname@example.org . Our charity Trustees will then decide which images they would like to go ahead and have printed. Unfortunately we are not able to pay the artist but we do provide several packs of cards for their personal use and will not reuse the print in other years without their permission. Each card has a full artist credit with contact details on the back.
Selling Christmas cards is one of many different ways we raise income for the charity. As I'm sure you can imagine we have lost several of our income streams due to Covid-19: our charity shop has closed, our two cafes have temporarily shut and all our events in the near future have been cancelled. So we'd also like to invite you students to come up with a fundraising idea - either individually or as a school/class/small group. Could a student host an online quiz or organise a virtual challenge? Many people have had some brilliant and original ideas to support the NHS frontline as well as many other charities. Who would have thought a 99-year-old war veteran would raise over 12 million pounds walking around his own garden! We will be happy to provide you with a fundraising pack if you need one and also to support you with any ideas you have. Please contact Katy Wells.
